NONE SHALL REMAIN – “I DON’T CARE”
Each week we pick one song we think you’ll love as much as we do. We talked with Peter Michell about how this song came to life. PRESS PLAY.

WHAT’S THE STORY

“I wrote and recorded a majority of the track one Friday night when I had the world’s worst cold, or covid, and was drinking some brandy. I guess the mix of the two put me in a rather nihilistic mindset. The tone and vibe of the song stray from the slick darkwave and gothic rock sound that most of None Shall Remain’s songs use. Instead, ‘I Don’t Care’ has a much more straightforward, post-punk attitude. The guitars don’t have much reverb and the vocals are rather flippant.”

INFLUENCES

“There isn’t a particular band or influence for this song, but the tracks I’ve heard at goth events and dance floors have surely seeped into my subconscious writing brain.”

THE LINES WE LOVED

I don’t care, my head’s in a vice
I don’t care, if you tell me your bind
I don’t die, then I go all the way
I don’t care, I don’t care

BONUS TRACK

“I wrote most of it sick, slightly delirious, drinking brandy. Haha.”
